To find resources designed specifically for firefighters, EMTs and other emergency responders, check out ResponderHelp.com — an emergency responder's one-stop, free resource!

Have you heard about the newest resource designed specifically for fire, EMS and other emergency services organizations: ResponderHelp.com?

Just released in August, the site was launched in celebration of VFIS’ 50th anniversary as a gift to the emergency service industry – because your passion to serve your community has given VFIS an inspiring purpose. As customary of a true gift, the site is free. There are additional content pieces and training available for purchase, however, as a VFIS client, most of this material is free to your organization.

What is ResponderHelp.com?

Watch firefighters at the The Lafayette Fire Company demo ResponderHelp.com and share their thoughts.

ResponderHelp.com brings together more than 3,500 resources including free SOGs, articles, technical bulletins and training materials, and more content is added every week. The site was developed and administered by VFIS but offers content sourced from a broad variety of industry specialists including the United States Fire Administration, National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, International Association of Fire Chiefs’ Volunteer & Combination Officers Section, the National Volunteer Fire Council and many more.

The top-level resource categories on the site were selected based on what industry experts believe to be the biggest challenges responders will face over the next 25 years and include community risk reduction, emergency medical services, facilities, fire rescue operations, governance, human resources, safety vehicle operations, training, and safety and health. If you’re specifically looking for cancer-related resources, select the “safety and health” category and find the sub-topic “cancer.”

Cancer prevention resources on ResponderHelp.com include:

These are just a few of the many resources available on the site – and more are being added every day! To find content, you can either use the search function to directly search for a topic that interests you, browse by categories and then sub-topics, use the SOG Finder or click “get started now” on the bottom of the page for a navigated search.

Want to save resources? Register – it’s free. Registering on the site will give you the ability to save content into personal libraries like cancer prevention, driver safety or 2020 training programs. Registering on the site also gives you the ability to ask additional questions (about anything!) to our wide variety of industry Specialists and read the answers to other users’ questions.
